The Deluxe Tuba Stealth Practice Mute has a "tuning tube" that rotates within the mute chimney. By turning this tube, holes are opened and closed allowing more sound and air to travel down the chimney. The tube can also can be exteded into the bell to accomodate different bell sizes. This allows the performer to fine tune the mute to their instrument.
